 Kannanthanam School of Tourism Studies is centrally and ideally located at Kannanthanam Chambers on Kannanthodath Lane, Near South Over Bridge, Valanjambalam, Kochi 682 016. It is an IATA/UFTAA Authorised Training Centre for Foundation/ Consultant Courses, and is considered by many as the premier School in its field in Kerala, on the basis of the quality of training. |

The School is run under the leadership of Mrs. Anie Varghese Kannanthanam (alias) Aniamma George, who is its Director & Chief Instructor. She has about 18 years' teaching experience in the field of travel and tourism, and is arguably one of the world's top instructors. She was formerly the Executive Director & Chief Instructor of M/s. Chavara School of Tourism Studies, Kochi.
She is an International Travel Consultant, and has passed the IATA/UFTAA Foundation, Consultant & Senior Management examinations. She is also a post graduate in English Literature, and holds a diploma in journalism. She is qualified to teach IATA/UFTAA Foundation & Consultant courses at Authorised Training Centres anywhere in the world |

Under Mrs. Kannanthanam's leadership, Chavara School was ranked the 12th best in the world, by IATA/UFTAA, Montreal, Canada, on the basis of the percentage of pass, in the 2004 September Foundation exam. Her former students at Chavara bagged 67 distinctions out of 72 in her paper (Air Fares & Ticketing), in the 2005 September exam.
Mrs. Kannanthanam had started Chavara School of Tourism Studies in 1997 September in the Chavara Cultural Centre (Kochi) premises, which attained IATA/UFTAA Authorised Training Centre status in 2002 May. The Authorisation ID granted to Chavara by IATA was IN-CST-2-02-001. Later in 2007 March, when she moved with her students from the Chavara Cultural Centre premises to the new one on Convent Road, with the new name of Kannanthanam School of Tourism Studies, the Authorization ID was transferred to Kannanthanam School. From 25 May 2009, the school has shifted to Kannanthanam Chambers on Kannanthodath Lane, Near South Over Bridge, Valanjambalam, Kochi 682 016
